The 3/4 multi age has been out and about, and enjoying lots of activities in our local community. We had a fun cruise on the River Tripper last week, seeing seals, birds, and oyster farms. This week, we learned about lichens, as well as the structure and functions of trees, at Hidden Valley Nature Center. We also had time for a fun round of “bear-salmon-mosquito”. We are so lucky to live in a community with great opportunities for our students!

3/4 multiage and third enjoyed a magical day at the Coastal Maine Botanical Gardens. Students enjoyed a pond investigation, hunting for trolls, building fairy houses, and playing in the Children’s Garden. It was such a joy filled day! Thanks to our family volunteers for making it possible.

CLC YMCA TRUNK OR TREAT!

Our third graders and 3/4 multiage enjoyed a cruise down the Damariscotta River. They learned about the history of our community, saw lots of seals, and learned more about the aquaculture business. What a great way to spend the afternoon.

GSB 3rd graders had their first FARMS class last week and it was a blast! The students made coleslaw, apple crisp, roasted veggies, and a sautéed coleslaw. Huge thank you to Twin Village Farms and Biscay Orchards for the vegetable and apple donations. We can’t wait to go back next month @CLCYMCA

The Great Salt Bay Boys Soccer team played Richmond in the quarter finals at our home field tonight. They tied the game 2-2 and pushed into double overtime where the score remained the same! It then came down to the best of 5 penalty kicks by both teams. Ryder, as our goalie, stopped 2 in their tracks while David Osier, Gavin Giffin and Penn Way sunk three to win the game!
