Thanks to everyone who helped us make it happen for the kids!
The cheer team will compete in the annual Busline League Cheering Competition tonight at 5pm at Medomak Middle School. Admission for the event is $1 for a student, $2 for an adult, and $5 for a family.
The third graders rocked their first three ice skating lessons! They have mastered falling and getting back up and are working hard on stopping. We look forward to our final class in March under the disco ball! Huge thanks to the MRC for providing these free lessons to our third graders.
Our third graders are showing great skills in the kitchen! They look forward to their monthly cooking lesson and trying new ingredients. Thank you to the Y and our wonderful volunteers!

Math meets guidance! 6th grade students learn to control their emotions by completing relaxing activities! They learned about their amygdala and cortex functions in their brains!
5th graders are enjoying literature circles in ELA
One small moment of kindness can really brighten someone's day!
Lincoln Academy hosted the Great Maine Book Tournament. Kids need to read 15 books and school teams compete to answer questions about those books. Congrats to the GSB 7/8 students for taking 1st place for our district!! GSB will be moving on to the district completion in the spring!
We had an incredible visit to the Carpenters Boat Shop last Wednesday for a woodworking lesson from Kenneth with the Maine Coast Craft School. The 5th/6th graders were incredibly careful and calm as they learned to use the woodworking tools to carve wooden spoons and other creations.
