These are the troll inspired sculptures (GSB Art classes visited the Coastal Maine Botanical Gardens for inspiration) that connect art and identity and students have to incorporate two aspects of themselves into their final sculpture (hobbies, favorites, etc.).

GSB Kindergartener students met with local firefights to discuss safety if there is an active fire. They learned how to make apple cider using an apple press & they also released a monarch butterfly with Mrs. Hedda.

First Graders have been learning about the sun and shadows. We traced our shadows in the morning and then came outside later in the day and learned that our shadows had moved! Ask your child what caused their shadow to move!!

The Cross Country team finished their season at the Busline Cross Country Championship at Medomak. The boys team came in 3rd out of 8 teams. There were 123 runners in the boys race. Top finishers for GSB included:

Jacob Iverson came in 16th
Percy Krawic came in 29th
Paton Grant came in 35th

The girls team came in 7th out of 11 teams. There were 115 runners in the girls race. Top finishers for GSB included:
