We have been learning about and cooking with sourdough starter in Ag Club. We made sourdough pretzel bites and grilled cheese on sourdough bread. Thank you to Walpole Wildflours for the starter!

The Owls Head Transportation Museum visited the 3/4 multiage, helping us experiment with electricity!
Ms. Tracy’s 3/4 reading group had a first in March. Two cougars in our room for reading! Well done students and keep earning those PAWSitive praises.

5th graders learned how to harvest worm castings with Jock from Mainely Worms, and harvested about 20 pounds of castings to use in our greenhouse and garden. They used some math skills to estimate how many worms they had and were surprised to learn there were thousands!
6th grader, Clodagh McQuillan won the Conservation poster contest in the 4th-6th grade category, sponsered by the Knox-Lincoln Soil and Water Conservation District. Her poster will be entered to compete at the state level. Well done, Clodagh!
Here are our GSB Pi day contestants bravely reciting digits of Pi! Congratulations to our winners: Paton in 5th grade with 170 digits, Crosby in 2nd grade with 110 digits, Ellie in 8th grade with 106 digits & Jhay in 4th grade with 62 digits! Great job everyone!
Mrs. Farnsworth’s class is learning about weather and what makes a rainbow in the sky. We competed a rainbow craft with our 4th grade buddies and made a “walking rainbow” using primary colors.
Kindergarten tapped maple trees in our school forest and sampled some maple syrup. Thank you Sarah and CRCT!
Pre-K has begun 6 weeks of Red Cross swim lessons at the Wiscasset rec. A huge thank you to the PTO for helping to fund this incredibly fun and safety building opportunity! It’s a wet and wild time!
