Welcome Back Golf Coach Liam Brinkler!
This is Liam’s second year coaching at GSB, but he has been involved in the sport for over two decades. He played on the GSB team 15 years ago and also spent two years competing with the Lincoln Academy team. He became a coach, in part, due to his nephew’s interest in golf, but also to stay involved in a sport that he grew up loving to play.
Liam’s goal as a coach is for all players to grow on and off the links. “Golf is unique in that it’s a sport anyone can enjoy, regardless of age or ability. We aim to be competitive while showing respect to our opponents. Since many players at this level are just beginning their golf journey, we focus on creating an inviting and supportive atmosphere for newcomers.”

Key Responsibilities:
Transport a student or students from their home in Newcastle or Damriscotta to Medomak Valley High School each morning on a regular schedule to arrive at 7:15 AM using a district van.
Provide transportation home from Medomak Valley High School (pick up at 2PM) on an as-needed basis, depending on the student's extracurricular activities.
Requirements:
Must possess a valid and clean Maine driver's license.
Must be able to maintain a safe and punctual driving record.
Must be available for both regular morning trips and flexible afternoon trips.

Chris Fitzpatrick of the DHS will lead information sessions at five locations in Lincoln County in August and September. Each information session will last one hour, with a 45 minute presentation and 15 minutes at the end for questions and conversation. Parents may attend any session alone or bring their students, but please take note of the student age recommendations to determine if the session is suitable for your student.
