The multiage 1st and 2nd Graders had a great time learning about animal adaptions in Maine and about building shelters in the forest. Thank you to Sarah Gladu for leading us through the woods so that we could learn to identify signs of animals. We found burrows, woodpeckers holes, and fox tracks!

In Art - grades pre-K through fourth grade are starting their fiber art units. Each project aligns developmentally with skills that relate to necessary, fine motor, sequencing, and pattern development for other academic subjects. The youngest students in Pk and K learn about weaving concepts, using circle looms built from paper bowls. These are fun and forgiving looms that allow students to experiment with color, texture, and develop technical skills.
